Genomics and Evolution

Hi, there! I'm a Biologist with a PhD in Genetics, passionate about understanding how species evolve using genomics approaches.
During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I investigated the genome evolution of understudied organisms, with a particular focus on analyzing genomes and transcriptomic data. Specifically, my interest lies in transposable elements (the jumping genes) to comprehend processes of molecular co-option and gene regulation. I also have an interest in noncoding RNAs, the fantastic molecules involved in the control of expression and transposable elements mobilization. Currently, I'm a postdoctoral fellow in Nicolas Corradi lab at the University of Ottawa in the freezing, but friendly Canada. We study the genome evolution of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, a plant symbiont. Follow below to know more about my research, citizen science initiatives and perspectives. |
